He served as the First Responder Liaison for Ohio Mental Health & Addiction Services and is a retired lieutenant from the Ohio State Highway Patrol. Click has been involved in peer support with the OSHP's Members' Assistance Team (MAT) and received CISM training in 1993. He was deployed twice to New York City to work with the NYPD after the 9/11 attacks. He is trained in both group and individual peer support by the International Critical Incident Stress Foundation and is a certified QPR: Question, Pursue & Refer and Mental Health First Aid instructor. He is a nationally sought after speaker on the topic of First Responder Wellness.

Topic: After the Call
After the Call explores ways to identify and understand the reactions first responders experience in the aftermath of the loss of a co-worker in the line of duty, by accident or by suicide. The program was created to provide ideas, concepts and techniques safety forces might use to help themselves during a critical or traumatic incident. It’s important for first responders to know that, just like the rest of their agency, they are having a normal reaction to an abnormal circumstance. It’s not only okay to ask for assistance, it will help ensure that they, along with leadership, are able to provide the guidance and oversight to help their agency and personnel work through the aftermath to be stronger. The program will also explore how first responders focus on taking care of others, often at the expense of their own self-care. Discussion will include ways to re-enforce the concepts of self-care and the importance for first responders to be able to better serve their agencies and communities.
