Glenbeigh ARMC Healthcare System (“Glenbeigh”, “we”, “our” or “us”) is committed to protecting your privacy and providing a safe online experience. This Privacy Policy applies to our website, including subordinate web pages owned and operated by Glenbeigh that link to this policy, and describes how we collect, use, retain, protect, and disclose personal information collected through the website and related electronic communications. This policy does not replace or limit Glenbeigh’s Notice of Privacy Practices for Patients or other notices that apply to protected health information, substance use disorder treatment records, or other information subject to special confidentiality protections. By using the Glenbeigh website or providing information through it, you acknowledge the practices described in this policy. If any part of this policy is not acceptable to you, do not use the website.

Glenbeigh may use information about how users interact with the website to understand which services and pages are most useful, improve content, personalize the online experience, and provide relevant information. To the extent any use of cookies or similar technologies is considered a sale, sharing, targeted advertising, or profiling under applicable privacy laws, Glenbeigh will provide legally required notices and choices.

California “Do Not Track” Signals. Glenbeigh’s website does not currently respond to “Do Not Track” browser signals. If Glenbeigh adopts a standard for responding to such signals in the future, this policy will be updated to describe that practice.

Glenbeigh retains personal information for as long as reasonably necessary to fulfill the purposes described in this policy, provide and maintain the website and services, comply with legal obligations, resolve disputes, protect safety and security, and prevent fraud, unless a longer retention period is required or permitted by law. At the end of the applicable retention period, Glenbeigh will delete, destroy, or deidentify personal information in accordance with applicable requirements.

We may disclose aggregated information about our users, and information that does not identify any individual, without restriction. We may also disclose Personal Information that we collect, or you provide as described in this privacy policy:

Children’s and Minors’ Privacy
Glenbeigh’s website includes information about alcohol and drug addiction, treatment, and recovery and is not designed for or directed to children under the age of 18. Glenbeigh does not knowingly collect personal information from children under 18 through the website. If Glenbeigh learns that it has collected personal information from a child under 18 without appropriate consent, Glenbeigh will take reasonable steps to delete that information.

Your Privacy Rights and Choices
If you are a resident of a U.S. state with an applicable comprehensive privacy law (including, but not limited to, California, Colorado, Connecticut, Delaware, Florida, Indiana, Iowa, Kentucky, Maryland, Minnesota, Montana, Nebraska, New Hampshire, New Jersey, Oregon, Rhode Island, Tennessee, Texas, Utah, and Virginia), you may have the following rights with respect to your Personal Information, subject to applicable law and any exceptions:

  • Right to Opt Out of Sale / Sharing / Targeted Advertising / Profiling: You have the right to opt out of the sale of your Personal Information, the sharing of your Personal Information for cross-context behavioral advertising, the creation of profiles using your information, and/or the processing of your Personal Information for purposes of targeted advertising. Please understand we do not sell or share your personal as it is defined under state privacy laws, and we do not use your personal information to create profiles or to conduct targeted advertising.
  • Right to Non-Discrimination: We will not discriminate against you for exercising any of your privacy rights.
  • Right to Appeal: If we decline your privacy request, you may have the right to appeal our decision. To appeal, please contact us using the information in Section 9 below and include “Privacy Rights Appeal” in the subject line.

Glenbeigh may need to verify your identity before completing your request, which may include asking you to provide additional information to confirm your identity or, where permitted, to designate an authorized agent to submit the request on your behalf. Glenbeigh will respond to a verifiable request within the time period required by applicable law, generally within forty-five (45) days of receipt, subject to a one-time extension of an additional forty-five (45) days where reasonably necessary.

Protected Health Information. For protected health information, Glenbeigh’s Notice of Privacy Practices describes patient rights, including the right to request a paper copy of the notice, request restrictions on certain uses and disclosures, inspect and obtain a copy of PHI, request amendment of PHI, receive an accounting of certain disclosures, request confidential communications, receive notice following a breach of unsecured PHI, and file a complaint without retaliation. Requests involving PHI should be directed to the Glenbeigh Medical Records Department using the contact information provided below or in the applicable Notice of Privacy Practices.

Nevada Resident Rights. Nevada provides its residents with a limited right to opt out of certain Personal Information sales. Residents who wish to exercise their sale opt-out rights may submit a request to this designated address: GBInquire@glenbeigh.com or the phone number below. However, please know we do not currently sell data triggering that statute's opt-out requirements.

Financial Incentives. We do not currently offer any financial incentive programs (such as loyalty programs, discounts, or other benefits) that are directly tied to the collection, retention, sale, or sharing of your Personal Information. If we offer such programs in the future, we will update this policy to provide the material terms of any such program, including a description of the incentive offered, the categories of Personal Information involved, and how you may opt in or withdraw from the program.

How We Protect Personal Information
Glenbeigh uses commercially reasonable administrative, physical, and technical safeguards designed to protect personal information from accidental loss, destruction, unauthorized access, unauthorized use, alteration, and disclosure. Personal information that you provide may be stored on servers in controlled environments, and certain transmissions may be protected through encryption technologies such as Secure Socket Layer or similar protocols. No website, network, system, electronic storage, or online transmission is completely secure, and Glenbeigh cannot guarantee the security of information transmitted through or in connection with the website. Email, text, chat, and similar electronic communications may not be secure, and you should carefully consider what information you send through those channels. Any transmission of personal information is at your own risk. In the event of a breach affecting personal information, Glenbeigh will notify affected individuals and, where required, applicable regulators, in accordance with applicable law.

Protected Health Information and Substance Use Disorder Records
In addition to this website policy, individuals admitted for treatment services through Glenbeigh receive privacy notices describing Glenbeigh’s legal duties and privacy practices for protected health information and substance use disorder treatment records. Glenbeigh is required by HIPAA to maintain the privacy of PHI and to follow the terms of its Notice of Privacy Practices, and certain records, including alcohol and substance use disorder treatment records, HIV information, genetic information, and mental health records, may be subject to special confidentiality protections under federal or state law, including 42 CFR Part 2 where applicable. Every patient is presented with applicable privacy and confidentiality notices upon admission. Individuals unable to access these notices through the website may contact Glenbeigh’s Medical Records Department for assistance or alternate forms of accommodation by telephone at 1-800-234-1001.
